SETTLEMENT PROGRAMS

Settlement services are provided to build the capacity of immigrants and refugees to fully participate in Canadian society and facilitate their integration into neighborhoods. Services include information, referrals, resources and coaching and are provided individually or through skills development group sessions.



Black Creek Local Immigration Partnership (LIP)
The Black Creek Local Integration Partnership is dedicated to bringing together service agencies, grass root groups, settlement workers and newcomers in the community to put a spotlight on newcomer issues and to make services work better for newcomers settling in the Black Creek community.

The Black Creek LIP is focused on putting new immigrants at the forefront of the Black Creek community agenda. Our purpose is to create a Settlement Strategy and Action Plan that will help agencies in the area to better address the needs of newcomers by working together to provide employment and language training, welcome newcomers better and to integrate our services to make them easier for newcomers to use. We are now in the stages of implementing our work plans to get agencies moving on the plans that will help you to use their services with ease!
